Chesteshwar Pujara has been the best batsman this series so far with 328 runs including two hundreds in six innings at an average of 54.67.

The No. 3 batsman scored a gritty century in the first innings of the ongoing third Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) but he was dismissed for a two-ball duck by Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins in India's second innings on Friday.

With a hundred and a duck in the Boxing Day Test, Pujara matched an unwanted feat of Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar. The Rajkot-born batter achieved the feat of being dismissed for a hundred and a duck in the same match for

the second time and Tendulkar in his decorated 24-year-old career had also achieved that twice.

The first time Pujara got a similar score was in 2015 when he was sent packing for 145 and a duck by Sri Lanka in the third Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC). On the other hand, Tendulkar got a century and a duck once in 1999 against Pakistan and in 2002 against the West Indies.

The other iconic players to have achieved the forgettable feat of scoring a hundred and a duck in the same Test are Sir Don Bradman, Sir Vivian Richards, Sir Garfield Sobers, Daryl Cullinan and Jacques Kallis. The West Indian legend Shivnarine Chanderpaul leads the club with three scores of a hundred and a duck in the same Test.
