Jasprit Bumrah got the first wicket for India in the second Test match against Australia at Perth. The wicket came in the second session of the opening day after Australia had added more than 100 runs for the first wicket.

Aaron Finch (50) who had survived some close call in the first session was trapped leg before wicket. Bumrah made Finch play over the ball after changing his length. He bowled a fuller length ball after bowling a shorter one. The ball landed just outside off and tailed in a bit after landing. Finch completely missed it and got hit in front of middle.

Aaron Finch and Marcus Harris blunted India's four-pronged pace attack in the morning session. The duo defied predictions of a bowler's paradise at the new Perth Stadium and justifed captain Tim Paine's decision to bat first. Both completed their fifties before Finch fell to Bumrah.
