India's young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant may not have done well with the bat in the ongoing first Test against Australia, he sure has had a great match behind the wickets.

He has already notched up a total of eight catches - six in Aussies' first innings and two so far in the final one - and has hardly put his foot wrong as a keeper.

Moreover, the 21-year-old has been very bold with his words too and has not let go of any opportunity to sledge the Australians, especially when the hosts were batting in an intense pressure situation.

On Day 5, the Australians resumed playing at 104 for 4 with Travis Head and Shaun Marsh at the crease. Ishant soon bowled a spectacular short ball leaving Head clueless. The batsman couldn't duck it, couldn't play it and as he tried to block, the ball hit the splice of his bat and lobbed to Rahane at gully.

Pant a few minutes later began to sledge again as he went on to say, [They have] "intent to win this match." He has got more talkative especially when Ravi Ashwin comes to bowl. "Aayega ek jaldi he," Pant then said indicatingAussies will lose another wicket soon.

Earlier in the match, as Australia were put under pressure early on Day two, Pant tried to get under the skins of the opponents’ batsmen with some good old-fashioned sledging.

Pant, who has very vocal throughout his time behind the wickets was recorded saying “not everyone is Pujara here, lads”.

Pant said it while Usman Khawaja was batting with Australia trying to rebuild after being reduced to 59 for 3. Pujara was India's top batsman in the first inning scoring 123 runs from 246 deliveries.

Pant was also heard saying something to Travis Head but the local boy went on to be their highest scorer with 167-ball 72.
