Travis Head scored an unbeaten half-century on his home debut to give Australia hope of reeling in India's first innings lead despite a string of batting failures on day two of the first test on Friday.
Australia were 191 for seven, with Head 61 not out and tail-ender Mitchell Starc on eight, still 59 runs short of India's modest total of 250 at the close of another baking hot day at Adelaide Oval.
After India lost their 10th wicket on the very first ball of the day. However, they soon wrested back the advantage.
It took only three balls for Ishant Sharma to make an impact on Australian tour. Sharma got the wicket of Aaron Finch on the third ball of his very first over on day 2 of the opening Test match at Adelaide.

Ishant rattled the stumps of Finch in the first over of the Australian innings to give the visitors a flying start. The right-hander missed the line of the delivery and the ball took an inside edge and crashed into the stumps, uprooting middle and off.

For India, R Ashwin took three wickets while Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah took two each.
