In a historic Test for debutants Afghanistan, it was India who created history instead.

The Ajinkya Rahane-led Indian team on Friday crushed Afghanistan by an innings and 262 runs inside two days to register their biggest victory in terms of an innings.

Having made 474 in their first innings, the hosts took 10 wickets in each of the second and third sessions.

Afghanistan were bowled out for 109 in their first innings and 103 in the second innings, becoming only the fourth team to be dismissed twice on the same day of a Test.
