Independence Day: Sachin Tendulkar wishes the nation, calls for a 'Swachh and Swasth Bharat'

As India celebrated its 71st Independence Day, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar took to social media to wish the nation. He asked his fellow countrymen to take pride in being a part of such a glorious nation. The sporting icon, who is also a Rajya Sabha MP, urged everyone to set a goal for the future of moving forward together both as a clean India well as a healthy India.

Sachin wrote, "Namaste India! It’s a very proud day for all of us. As we celebrate 70 years of freedom, we can look back on the immense progress we have made in nearly every field. Feel the pride of being part of such a glorious nation. Today, let us set ourselves a goal for the years to come, moving forward together both as a Swachh Bharat as well as a Swasth Bharat. May the Indian tricolour always fly high…"
