While the ODI series between India and New Zealand may have ended, the online banter between players is not looking to end soon.

After New Zealand whitewashed the ODI series 3-0 against India, James Neesham posted a picture on Twitter from the banter between him and India batsman KL Rahul.

Rahul and Neesham were involved in a light banter during the final ODI in Mount Maunganui when the bowler came into the way of the Indian batsman, who was running to take a single.

Neesham tweeted the picture and captioned it, "Paper, scissors, rock?".

The current wicketkeeper soon responded saying, "Let’s settle this in April. See u in a bit"

When one thinks about April, the tournament that comes to mind is the Indian Premier League (IPL). The cash-rich event is set to begin from March 29 where both Rahul and Neesham will be playing for the Kings XI Punjab.

As for the 3rd ODI, KL Rahul's good form continued as he finished with the second-highest runs in the series, scoring 202 at a staggering average of 102. His 202 runs in the series included a century and a half-century.

Neesham had also commented on Rahul's run-scoring spree and asked him to save some for IPL.

This series will also be remembered as for the 1st time in 31 years, India were whitewashed in an ODI series with 3 or more matches. India had earlier lost 3-0 to Sri Lanka in a bilateral ODI series in 1997 (3 or more matches).
