India are gearing up to take on Bangladesh in the series-opening T20I match at New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.

However, during the net practice, a visibly upset Rohit Sharma on Friday walked out after a ball struck his leg two days prior to the clash, according to Hindustan Times.

Barely a few minutes into India’s net session Rohit was hit on his leg when he was batting against throwdown specialist Nuwan Seneviratne.

The stand-in captain immediately took off his gloves and stormed out even as India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour and Seneviratne tried to calm him down.

According to the Hindustan Times, the injury did not seem too serious as the batsman did not have any difficulties while walking. Rohit did not return back to the nets.

With just two day's left for the clash, India would hope Rohit’s walking off was only a precautionary measure.

As for Nuwan Seneviratne, he is a Sri Lankan throwdown specialist and was roped in by Team India ahead of 2018 Asia Cup in Dubai. He has played only two first-class matches but has quite a name as a throwdown specialist.

Despite having Raghavindraa - India’s throwdown specialist - India got Seneviratne into the scenes to help the batsmen prepare against left-arm seamers.

Now with the clash against Bangladesh, they have the likes of Mustafizur Rahman in their ranks.
