The book has broken yet another bombshell when it's leaked manuscript included details about the sex lives of various celebrities including Pakistan cricket sensation Akram.
Apart from Akram, Reham has received legal notices from her ex-husband Dr Ijaz Rehman, a British businessman, Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari, and Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) media coordinator Anila Khawaja for defaming them in her autobiography.
According to reports, pages 402 and 572 of the leaked online content of the book are about Akram, where Reham has accused him of using his late wife to carry out his sexual fantasies by arranging a black man have sex with her while he watched.
"This is grossly defamatory, indecent and disrespectful to our client’s late wife. Wasim Akram is an internationally well known former Pakistani cricketer and media personality who is being acknowledged by cricket experts and fans as being one of the best test fast bowlers in the history of first class cricket,” the notice sent by Akram read.
Earlier, in an interview to an CNN18, Reham alleged that her former husband sought sexual favours for political positions. She also said that in case Imran Khan becomes the Prime Minister of Pakistan, it would be very dangerous for the country.
Extracts of the unreleased book were reportedly leaked by hackers online. Since then, the BBC’s former weather presenter has sought an injunction to prevent further releases. So far, the cricketer-turned-politician's Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, or Justice Party, has been expected to be the main challenger to the ruling party. However, the buzz created by the book and the sensational allegations by Reham could effectively derail Imran Khan’s chances for any success in the upcoming general election in July.
Pakistan's government and parliament was dissolved on May 31st and a new interim prime minister and an interim administration have taken over.
