After Cameron Bancroft was caught on camera trying to tamper the ball during the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town, Australian captain Steve Smith claimed that his team has not indulged in cheating before.

However, a fresh footage that emerged on Monday from the recent Ashes series suggests otherwise.

In a video, from the Sydney Ashes Test, being circulated on Twitter, Bancroft can be seen putting spoonful of sugar into his pocket during lunch interval.

The sugar can be used to rough-up the ball. It has been reported that England were suspicious of Australia's tactics back then. The visitors couldn't figure out how the Aussies would get sudden reverse swing.

The latest footage raises the question— Are Bancroft, Smith and the Aussies serial cheaters?

England captain Joe Root said he is not aware if Aussies indulged in foul play during the Ashes. "Not to my knowledge. I personally wasn't aware of anything going on throughout that series," he reportedly said.

Meanwhile, English fast bowler Stuart Broad said, "Look at the Ashes series that we've just played…They reverse swung the ball in conditions that you wouldn't expect the ball to reverse."
