Live Cricket Score, England vs Pakistan in World Cup 2019: Pakistan beat England by 14 runs at Trent Bridge in their second ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 encounter on Monday. Chasing 349 runs to win, England could manage only 334 for 9 in their 50 overs. Joe Root (107) and Jos Buttler (103) scored centuries but Pakistan kept their nerves in the final stages of the match to emerge victorious.

Earlier, Pakistan had posted a hefty total of 348 for 8 after being put in to bat by England. It was a great score for Pakistan who were all out for just 105 in their first game against West Indies. Mohammad Hafeez top-scored with 84 off 62 balls including eight fours and two sixes, while Babar Azam made 63 and captain Sarfaraz Ahmed belted a quickfire 55.

England spinner Moeen Ali was the pick of the bowlers taking 3 for 50. Chris Woakes took four catches and matched his performance in the field with three late wickets. England were left with a challenging, record-setting target. The best successful World Cup run chase to date came in 2011 when Ireland made 329 against England.
