Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman David Warner and commentator and former Australian cricketer Michael Slater have clearly denied the reports of them being involved in a physical altercation at a bar in the Maldives, where they are staying with the rest of the Australian contingent, who are quarantining themselves in the island country.

Currently staying at the Taj Coral Resort in the Maldives, the duo were involved in a mini-controversy and the rumour of which was first reported by the Daily Telegraph as cited by foxsports.com.au. However, the duo has categorically denied the same urging the fans and the media to report on these things after concrete evidence.

"There is absolutely nothing to the rumour mill Buzz. Davie and I are great mates and absolutely zero chance of (having) a fight," Slater was quoted by foxsports.com.au as saying in a text message.

Warner too denied the rumour saying, "There has been no drama. I don't know where you get these things from. Unless you were here and have got concrete evidence you can't write anything. Nothing happened."

Slater had lashed out at the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison earlier this week due to the travel ban his home country has put on the passengers travelling from India due to the COVID-19 crisis in the country.

This was the very reason that the whole Australian contingent was then transferred to the Maldives by the BCCI being in touch with Cricket Australia (CA) and they will be undergoing 14-day quarantine there before they leave for Australia when the travel restrictions are lifted on May 15.
