Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had said that it regrets the spelling error in tri-nation series tickets, where Bangladesh was spelled wrong.

The tickets for Friday’s match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka all had Bangladesh, written in bold, spelled wrongly as BNAGLADESH.

The media release from BCB announced that all undistributed tickets have been replaced with correct re-prints.

The BCB media release read: “It has come to the attention of the BCB that ‘Bangladesh’ has been spelt incorrectly on tickets for Friday’s Rocket Tri-Nation ODI Series match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The Board regrets the mistake.  All undistributed tickets for the match have since been replaced with corrected re-prints."

"The Board has also initiated necessary punitive measures against those found responsible for the error.”
