Irfan Pathan, one of the most popular all-rounders to ever represent the Indian cricket team, got trolled on social media on Monday, soon after he posted a photograph of his wife Safa Baig.
The 32-year-old posted a photograph on his official Facebook page with a message that read, "This girl is trouble #love #wifey."
The post invited trouble for Pathan as fans from across the globe slammed Irfan and his wife for posting a picture which was against Islam.
This isn't the first time an Indian cricketer has had to deal with such bigotry. Last year, India's pace spearhead Mohammed Shami's wife was insulted after pictures of the duo emerged in which she could be seen wearing a sleeveless gown. Shami, though, hit back strongly at the haters, asking them to reflect on their own conduct.
