The two countries are scheduled to hold a meeting on May 29, in Dubai under the jurisdiction of ICC Chief Dave Richardson

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly sought permission from the Indian government to re-start bilateral series between India and Pakistan.
BCCI Joint Secretary, Amitabh Chaudhary speaking to Times Now said that," “Yes, we have written to the government of India once again to seek their permission to play against Pakistan under the MOU signed in 2014."
Notably, the two countries are scheduled to hold a meeting on May 29, in Dubai under the jurisdiction of ICC Chief Dave Richardson, to iron out differences regarding the failure of BCCI to honour the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the two countries in 2013, to play six bi-lateral series.
He further added that," BCCI has replied to the PCB legal notice and I am meeting the PCB officials next week in Dubai in an informal set up to have a dialogue with them which is a part of the MOU, as the MOU says if a series is missed there needs to be a dialogue so as a part of that I'm going to Dubai but everything, as has been the case earlier will depend on government clearance."
Last April, the PCB had sent a legal notice to its Indian counterpart for failing to honour the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two cricket boards in 2014.
PCB chief Shaharyar Khan stated that they received a reply from the BCCI about their notice for not fulfilling the contract, because of which the PCB suffered huge financial losses.
"The BCCI's reply has two objections. Firstly, there is no term is included in the contract under which the word of government's permission is mentioned as necessary. Secondly, it was not an MoU but a contract as India sought PCB's support for the Big Three formula, from which it earned huge revenue as a member of Big Three," the Dawn quoted Shaharyar as saying.
But before that the two teams will face each other in the ICC Champions Trophy on June 4 at Edgbaston.
