The Chennai Super Kings' off-spinner drew an analogy with Manchester United's tragic plane crash in 1958 when the club lost eight of their best players.

After BCCI lifted the two-year ban Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, players and staff members associated with the IPL franchise were delighted and began talking about the return to the cash-rich event.
R Ashwin, who is currently the captain of Tamil Nadu Premier League team Dindigul Dragons, talked about a possible good comeback for the Chennai side. But he made a faux pas.
"I think the two-year hiatus for CSK probably increases its value much like what it did for Manchester United when the air crash happened (in 1958 when eight of their players died). I don't know if it's in the same league but surely people in Chennai and fans across the world are waiting for CSK to return. I hope it turns out to be a good comeback," Ashwin was quoted as saying by Times of India.
The comments comparing Manchester United's tragedy with CSK's comeback did not sit will with sports enthusiasts.
Munich tragedy was a disaster.

CSK were a bunch of match fixing frauds.
Stop being sadistic and equating the two incidents. https://t.co/gVQhLNGkIk
Ashwin's United analogy totally wrong and very insensitive. The right analogy is Juve's success after calciopoli.

Guys please take the reporting with a pinch of salt with respect to the Munich tragedy and CSK. All I said was the break will make the ..
