IPL 2018: RCB vs KXIP latest score updates: AB de Villiers guides Bangalore to 4-wicket win

Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first against Punjab (KXIP) in their second match of IPL 2018. 

Bangalore are hoping to get their campaign back on track after an opening game defeat, as they lock horns with Punjab at their home ground. 

RCB lost to KKR in their first match after Sunil Narine snatched victory with a 17-ball fifty. RCB will be expecting some fireworks from Brendon McCullum and AB de Villiers, who blasted a 27-ball 43 and a 23-ball 44, respectively, in the first game.

Punjab defeated Delhi in the first match as KL Rahul produced the fastest fifty of the IPL against Delhi and powered Punjab to thrash DD.

Bangalore beat Punjab by 4 wickets. AB de Villiers scored 57 off 40 balls to take them to victory. He fell in the last over but by then the job was done. Punjab bowled with a lot of heart but 155 was always a achievable target on this pitch.

AB de Villiers has taken on Mujeeb Ur Rahman. He scores 19 off his last over- 22 needed off 18 balls.

Bangalore are 109/4 after 15 overs. Punjab spinners have kept the scoring rate in check. Axar Patel (4-0-25-1), R Ashwin (4-0-30-2) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (3-0-10-1) have kept their team in the match. Bangalore will be looking at ABD to take them home.​

After some good batting, R Ashwin is showing his power with ball too. He sends Quinton de Kock and Sarfaraz Khan back in the same over to keep Punjab im the match.

Quinton de Kock departed after 45 off 34 balls. He and AB de Villiers have moved the score ahead after Virat's dismissal. Royal Challengers Bangalore require another 69 runs with 6 wickets and 51 balls remaining.

Punjab have started well in their defense of 155. Bangalore have lost two big wickets in form of Brendon McCullam and Virat Kohli. While McCullum fell in the very first over, Virat was looking well before he fell for 21. Bangalore 41 for 2 after 6 overs.

Punjab were not able to play their 20 overs. They are all out for 155

R Ashwin's 33 off 21 ball has taken them past 150 but they will have to bowl really well to restrict Bangalore.

Bangalore bowlers have done really well here. They have chipped away at the Punjab middle order. It has been one way traffic since Rahul's dismissal. R Ashwin seems to be only hope for Punjab. They are 127/7 after 16 overs.​

Lokesh Rahul didn't get to another fifty today, but he had added 47 runs off 30 balls to guide Punjab towards a big total. Karun Nair is also playing a good hand so far. It will be up to Nair and Stoinis to take Punjab to big score. Bangalore will looking to restrict them under 160. Punjab are 98 for 4 after 12 overs.​

Bangalore have dented Punjab's progress with three wickets in one over. Umesh Yadav removed Mayank Agarwal and Aaron Finch of consecutive balls. He then sent back Yuvraj Singh too.

Punjab had started well and still have KL Rahul at the other end. The pitch is looking good for a big score. Punjab are 36 for 3 after 4 overs.
