Left-arm medium-pacer Akash Chowdhary created a new record by taking 10 wickets (including a hat-trick) in four overs without giving any run in a local T20 cricket tournament in Jaipur on Wednesday. This is believed to be a new record of sorts as none has been able to achieve this feat at any level of T20 cricket in the world.
Akash, a great fan former Indian medium-pacer Zaheer Khan, quit athletics to follow footsteps of his hero.
The 15-year-old Akash, who hails from Bharatpur, achieved this feat while playing for Disha Academy against Pearl Academy.
Playing first Disha Academy scored 156. In reply, Pearl Academy could muster only 32 runs as Akash’s devastating spell routed them.
