Virat Kohli’s Indian cricket team continued their resurgence against Australia by winning the first Twenty20 International at the Manuka Oval in Canberra by 11 runs. KL Rahul’s attacking fifty and a brilliant cameo at the end from Ravindra Jadeja helped India recover to a good total after a middle order collapse. However, there was controversy later in the match as Ravindra Jadeja left and Yuzvendra Chahal came on as a concussion substitute. Chahal went on to take three wickets and aided by T Natarajan, India won the match to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
