Host England defeated India in a thrilling final of the ICC Women's World Cup at Lord's on Sunday. India fought hard, but pacer Anya Shrubsole's six-wicket haul turned the game in Englan'd favour at the end.
England posted a relatively below par 228 after skipper Heather Knight won the toss and decided to bat first. India seemed in control for the larger part of the chase, but the wheels came off in dramatic fashion to hand England the title.

India need more of this from their star batswoman.
IND - 69/2 from 20 overs.
The Indians have gotten into a shell here.
Finding it really hard to rotate the strike.
The required rate is climbing steadily.
They are also well behind in terms of DL.
Harman, who played a blazing knock in the last game, is batting on 10 off 34.

What a shot from Punam Raut!
Gets under the ball and plays a solid pick-up shot straight down the ground for four.
IND - 13/1 after 4 overs.
One has to question the thinking behind persisting with Mandhana.
She has had a horrid run after the first two innings she played in this tournament.
What has been most worrying is the manner in which she has gotten out.
Today as well, she completely missed the line of a straight ball.
Looked absolutely clue-less!
Mithali Raj walks out to the middle.
She will have to play the anchor's role for India today.
IND - 8/1 after 3 overs.
OUT!

This is a below par score, one has to say.
India have Jhulan Goswami to thank greatly for her super spell in the middle-overs.
Her three crucial wickets were the turning point of the England innings.
Will the Women in Blue go on to create history at Lord's today?
Join us after a short break to find out!

Brunt survives a run-out by diving in.
India can sniff another wicket here.
ENG - 179/6 from 43 overs.

Brunt tries to play a sweep, but gets a top edge.
Smriti Mandhana covers a lot of ground, but her dive falls just short.
Good effort nonetheless.

The 34-year-old ends with 3 for 23 from her 10 overs.
If India go on to create history today, it will be largely due to Jhulan's brilliance in the middle overs of England's batting.
ENG - 168/6 from 40 overs.
Rajeshwari Gayakwad keeps up the pressure from the other end.
Gives just a single from her sixth over.
