Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has once again claimed the position of the world's richest person dethroning Bernard Arnault, Chief Executive Officer of French luxury conglomerate LVMH. It is to be noted that Arnault became the world's richest person on Monday but he remained on the top position only for a day.

According to Forbes, Arnault had claimed the title of the richest man on the planet with a net worth of USD 186.3 billion. According to Forbes' Real Time Billionaire rankings on Monday, Arnault ended the day with a net wroth of USD 186.3 billion, while Bezos net worth was USD 186 billion. Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk was at third place with USD 147.3 billion.

But things changed on Tuesday as net worth jumped by USD 313 million to USD 189.2 billion, thereby overtaking Arnault who stood at 189.1 billion, an increase of USD 251 million. Musk with a net worth of USD 155.1 billion was at the third place.

Forbes said that USD 538 million was spent by Arnault in recent months in order to acquire shares of his own French label brand controlled by him and his family. Earlier, Arnault had raced ahead of world’s second richest person and Tesla owner Elon Musk, after reporting a first quarter revenue of GBP 14 billion in 2021.

In January 2021, LVMH acquired America’s largest jewellery maker Tiffany & Co. for USD 15.8 million.
