The smartphone maker has laid off 20 employees from the company, which did not go down well with the staff and ended up in a clash, reported MoneyControl.

?With continuous growth and strategic review, we look at staffing the right size in various divisions to improve productivity,? said Vivo in a company statement.

?We have strictly adhered to the rules and regulations, and the contract, and are taking all the right measures to ensure a peaceful transition keeping their best interests in consideration,? added the statement.
