Telecom players including Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular are leaving no stone unturned to retain their customers amidst aggressive tariff plans by new player Reliance Jio.
All the three telecom firms have announced new pricing plans similar to RJio.
Bharti Airtel has announced new postpaid and prepaid plans bundled with free domestic voice calls, national roaming calls, data rollover facility and subscription of Airtel apps – Wynk music and Airtel TV.
These postpaid plans under Infinity plan range from Rs 399-999. In all the plans (except Rs 399 plan) it is offering unlimited voice calls including outgoing calls during national roaming. The Rs 399 plan offer free local and STD calls but the applicable national roaming call charges are applicable.
In Rs 399 plan, the company is now offering 10 GB of data – applicable on all network modes 4G, 3G and 2G. In Rs 499, Rs 649, Rs 799 and Rs 999 infinity plan, the company is offering 20 GB, 30 GB, 40 GB and 50 GB data, respectively. All the plans have data rollover benefit. For prepaid customers, Airtel announced Rs 448 recharge offers with unlimited Local and STD calls, unlimited outgoing calls on national roaming and 70 GB data.
Idea Cellular has launched a new Rs 179 plan with unlimited voice calling and 1GB data at Rs 179. The plan is applicable for Idea prepaid users and comes with 28 days of validity.
Similarly, Vodafone India announced new Red postpaid plans that offer unlimited local/STD calls, free device protection scheme, free national roaming and ISD minutes along with few more benefits. The Red traveller plan starts at Rs 449 a month.
