Transporters said shortage of trucks in the market amid pick up in cargo movements mainly pushed freight rates for select destinations.

Delhi to Patna and Kolkata freight rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 26,000 and Rs 31,000.

Rates to Hyderabad and Kochi also increased by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 57,000 and Rs 74,000.
