If you are an SBI customer holding a debit card, the bank has launched a special facility called "Debit Card EMI facility" for its existing customers.
This is a piece of good news during the festivities for account holders of State Bank of India (SBI).
During this festive season as manufacturers and dealers dole out deals, offers, and discounts to the consumers, not participating in the shopping extravaganza could be a tad difficult, however, if you are an SBI customer holding a debit card, the bank has launched a special facility called "Debit Card EMI facility" for its existing customers.
EMI facility in Debit Card
According to the State Bank of India, debit cards are now being offered with EMI facility. This will benefit those customers who want to shop for home appliances or want to shop online. Customers can immediately convert their purchases in easy installments.
According to SBI, "All customers having clean financial and credit history are eligible for availing the loans. Such customers are being sent regular communications by the bank via SMS and Emailers. To check the eligibility, customers can also send an SMS typing DCEMI to 567676 from their registered mobile number."
What's more, being an SBI bank account holder, the Debit Card EMI feature comes with zero documentation, no processing fee, no branch visit, the instant disbursal, and zero cost EMI on select brands. This facility is available immediately irrespective of the existing saving bank account balance, while the EMIs would begin one month after the transaction is complete.
Customers can benefit from the offer in Flipkart and Amazon festive season sale
Experts say that SBI has also provided a pre-approved EMI facility for online shopping for its select customers. Customers can avail of this facility in most popular online shopping platforms Flipkart and Amazon.
