Railway Recruitment 2018: Group D's level 1 exam schedule to be released on September 9

Railway Recruitment 2018: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will release the exam schedule for Group D's level 1 on September 9. The Group D exam will be a computer based one. The dates regarding the exam, release of admit cards and information regarding the sittings will be out by Sunday. The Railway Recruitment board will be conducting the Group D exam on September 17. This should also be noted that this exam will be held in multiple sittings.

The Railways Recruitment board in its notification also mentioned about the mock test. RRB mentioned that the link for mock tests will be available on September 10. Candidates can take the mock test for being better prepared for the main exam. Meanwhile, SC/ST candidates who are eligible for free train pass to travel to the exam centre can download the train travel authority from September 10th to make the travel arrangements.

Regarding the admit cards, they will reportedly be released four days prior to the main exam. 

RRB Group D vacancies include the positions of Track maintainer Grade IV (Trackman), Gateman, Pointsman, Switchman, Helpers in electrical/engineering/mechanical/signal and telecommunication department, and porter, among others. 

The selection process of RRB group ‘D‘ recruitment involves following step. 

Computer Based Test (CBT): This would be an online test of 90 minutes and will have 100 multiple choice questions.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): In this, a candidate’s physical capabilities will be tested by means of some tasks. These would be different for men and women.

Meanwhile, Indian Railways will soon provide airplanes like facilities in Indian trains. Officials of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the e-ticketing arm of Indian Railways have reportedly being trained to do the same. In a bid to make the rail jouney comfortable and a memorable one, Railways will provide luxurious facilities to customers. Under Prime Minister Skill development programe, officials are being trained to provide world-level proffesional training.
