Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Noida today to inaugurate world's largest smartphone factory. South Korean President, Moon Jae-in have also arrived in India to accompany PM Modi. The South Korean President will be accompanied by senior members of his cabinet, officials as well as industry captains. First Lady Kim Jung-sook will also be accompanying the President.

It is also to be noted that this is South Korean's President first visit to the country. Both the leaders will be landing together in Noida to visit the plant.  

Samsung's 35-acre Samsung Electronics facility at Sector 81 in Noida, has caught everybody's attention, as mentioned earlier, it is one of the largest smartphone factory in the world. Samsung has firstl opened its first electronics manufacturing facilities in the early 1990s, the plant started by manufacturing TVs in 1997. The present mobile phone manufacturing unit was added in 2005.

For PM Modi's visit, the authorities are making tight security arrangements as his last visit to Noida in 2017 was marred by a breach.

PM Narendra Modi had visited Noida for the inauguration of the Metro's Magenta Line in December 2017.

To ensure the event passes off smoothly, the Noida Police have issued an advisory for motorists to avoid certain sections of roads on July 9.

Noida Traffic Police on Monday issued traffic advisory as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korean President Moon Jae-in are due to visit the city to inaugurate a Samsung plant here. 

Commuters travelling from Delhi Noida Direct (DND) Flyway to New Ashok Nagar, Greater Noida, Greater Noida West, Ghaziabad have been advised to take NH24 to avoid inconvenience. Commuters taking the Chilla gate to reach Noida, Greater Noida, Greater Noida West, Ghaziabad, can also use the NH24 instead.

Last year in June, Samsung has announced a massive Rs 4,915 crore investment to expand the Noida plant. The mentioned plant will double the smartphone production. Samsung is aiming to manufacture 120 million phones a year. Currently, it's manufacturing 67 million smartphones. 

Besides the smartphone, consumer electronics like refrigerators and flat panel televisions will also be manufactured at Noida plant. 

In 2012, Samsung became the leader in mobile phones in the country and the Noida facility rolled out the first-ever "Galaxy S3" device.
