A multi-purpose special economic zone was inaugurated at the Mahindra World City on Thursday. This shall create opportunities at the world city for various industries from diverse sectors like auto ancillaries, food processing, processed construction material and other industries in addition to existing IT/ITeS, Engineering etc.
It targets to attract an additional investment of Rs 3000 crore in next five years.
“Rajasthan’s robust policy framework is focused on meeting the emerging needs of businesses and citizens alike. We remain committed to driving such measures and through them drive the key parameter of Ease of Doing Business and thereby ensuring that Rajasthan continues to build its position.” said industries minister Rajpal Singh Shekhawat.
Also present on the occasion chief secretary DB Gupta emphasised on importance of well planned industrial development in the state and the contribution of MWC in the direction. Chairman of RIICO and MWC, Rajeeva Swaroop said of increasing Rajasthan’s industrial footprint and accelerated investment. Chairman of MLDL Arun Nanda expressed delight in being partner of industrial growth at Rajasthan.
