Markets open in green, Sensex gains over 150 points in early trade

Markets opened in green on the first of the week today with BSE Sensex gaining over 150 points in early trade. NSE Nifty gained 42 points in the first hour of the trade on Monday. 

The 30-scrip Sensex was trading 197.67 points or 0.55% higher soon after opening. It is currently trading at 35,807.94, up by 150 points (0.42%).

The wider 50-scrip Nifty was also trading 62.55 points or 0.58% higher at 10,835.20 points. It, however, lost some gains and is now trading at 10,815.30 after gaining 42.65 points (0.40%).

Last week, both the Sensex and Nifty posted weekly gains, rising 234.38 points, or 0.66%, and 58.35 points, or 0.54%, respectively.
