Sentiments turned weak owing to adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from producing belts.

Marketmen said reduced offtake by retailers as well as exporters following fall in demand at existing levels, mainly weighed on prices.

Black pepper prices declined by Rs 20 to conclude at Rs 540-720 per kg.

Cardamom brown-Jhundiwali and Kanchicut prices declined up to Rs 90 to conclude at Rs 710-730 and Rs 770-1,090 per kg, respectively.

Cardamom small varieties such as chitridar, colour robin, bold and extra bold fell up to Rs 50 to settle at Rs 1,050- 1,150, Rs 890-900, Rs 930-940 and Rs 1,030-1,050 per kg, respectively.

Coriander and dry ginger declined up to Rs 500 to conclude 5,900-11,900 and Rs 10,800-16,000 per quintal, respectively.

Kalaunji prices drifted lower at Rs 8,000-8,500 against last week's closing of Rs 9,700-10,000 per quintal.

Mace-red and nutmeg prices close lower at Rs 700-850 and Rs 475-480 from previous closing of RS 730-980 and Rs 530-540 per kg, respectively.

Poppyseed (Turkey, UP and MP-RAJ) prices fell up to Rs 30 to settle at Rs 360-410, Rs 350-370 and Rs 380-410 per kg, respectively.

Red chilli and turmeric declined Rs 200 each to conclude at Rs 4,200-12,400 and Rs 6,700-9,900 per quintal, respectively.

Jeera common prices also fell by Rs 400 to end at Rs 18,800-19,000 per quintal. (MORE)
