On the other hand, Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur market remained steady throughout the week on little doing.

Marketmen said adequate stocks on fresh supplies from manufacturing belts against muted demand due to off-season mainly dragged down gur prices in Delhi.

In the national capital, gur Chakku, Dhayya and Shakkar prices dropped by Rs 100 each to settle the week at Rs 3,500- 3,600, Rs 3,900-4,000 and Rs 4,000-4,100 per quintal, respectively.

Prices of gur pedi also drifted lower by Rs 50 during the week to finish at Rs 3,650-3,750 per quintal.

At Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku and Laddoo prices ruled unchanged at Rs 3,1245-3,350 and Rs 3,250-3,300 per quintal on some support.

Gur Raskat prices also pegged unchanged at Rs 2,650-2,700 on scattered demand from beer makers.

At Muradnagar, gur Pedi and Dhayya prices ended flat at last week's levels at Rs 3,300-3,350 and Rs 3,400-3,450 per quintal in the absence of buying interest. (MORE)
