Corporate India announced merger and acquisition (M&A) deals worth $2.3 billion in November taking the cumulative 11-month deal value to $82.1 billion, according to a report

$3.2 bn – worth of 39 deals were done in November 2017

27% decline was seen in November M&A deal tally in value terms

31% drop in terms of number of transactions

$82.1 bn – worth of 437 M&A deals were done till November this year

$40.08 bn – of 391 deals were registered in the same period last year

14 deals in billion-dollar category

46 deals in valued at/over $100 million

Top deals in November

  • Ultratech Cement's acquisition of Binani Cement was the biggest deal in November.
     
  • Agritrade Resources's acquisition of SKS Power Generation (Chhattisgarh)
     
  • Cipla subsidiary InvaGen Pharmaceuticals' acquisition of US firm Avenue Therapeutics
