On the domestic front, standard gold (99.5 purity) resumed lower at Rs 27,705 per 10 grams from last Friday's closing level of Rs 28,085 and dipped further to Rs 27,695 before ending at Rs 27,860, revealing a loss of Rs 225, or 0.80 per cent.

Pure gold (99.9 purity) also commenced negative at Rs 27,855 per 10 grams compared to preceding weekend level of Rs 28,235 and dropped further to Rs 27,845 before finishing at Rs 28,010, showing a loss of Rs 225, or 0.80 per cent.

Silver ready (.999 fineness) opened lower at Rs 35,870 per kilogram from last Friday's closing level of Rs 36,910 and moved in a range of Rs 37,040 and Rs 35,690 before closing at Rs 36,490, revealing a fall of Rs 420, or 1.14 pct. (MORE)
