FM Jaitley said that the payment would be made ahead of Dusshera holidays.

The Government on Wednesday approved payments of Productivity Linked Bonus for Railway employees, finance minister Arun Jaitley said while addressing media after a Cabinet Meeting in New Delhi.
FM Jaitley said that the payment would be made ahead of Dusshera holidays, the government would give extra bonus to the employees so that the overall efficiency of workers could be increased.

He also informed that the Cabinet also discussed three ITDC hotels and decided to transfer them to their respective state governments.
The three hotels are- Hotel Ashok in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Lalitha Mahal Palace in Mysore and Hotel Donyi Polo Ashok in Itanagar. The Finance Minister said that after the transfer it would be upto the state governments if they want to redevelop the properties or not.
He said that the Centre approved disinvestment of ITDC's 51% equity shares in Donyo Polo Ashok Corporation limited, a joint venture firm by Hotel Donyi Polo Ashok, Itnagar in favour of government of Arunachal Pradesh.

Another decision of merging 17 Government Press Unit to modernize into five has also been taken.

In a bid to provide better sports facilities in the country, Cabinet approved revamp of 'Khelo India- National Programme for Development of Sports.

Over the slowdown in economy in Jaitley said,"I have taken note of indications, the government will take any additional steps that will be necessary to revive the economy."
He also talked about allowing Rohingya community in India, the FM said, "This is a policy issue and the government has submitted an affidavit in the Supreme Court in this regard".
