DSP BlackRock Investment Managers has rejigged its top level executives and appointed Kalpen Parekh as president of the fund house.

Parekh will succeed S Naganath who has decided to leave the firm to pursue other opportunities, a company statement said here today.

Besides being president, Naganath was also chief investment officer.

Parekh, currently joint president at the fund house, has been elevated to the post of president with immediate effect, the statement said.

Kalpen holds more than 19 years of experience in various asset management firms across different roles in sales, distribution, marketing and international business.

He was previously managing director and head of sales and marketing at IDFC Mutual Fund.

He has also served Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company and ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company after beginning his career with L&T Finance.

Anup Maheshwari, head-equities has been elevated to chief investment officer, equities and Pankaj Sharma, head- fixed income, has taken over as chief investment officer-fixed income.

Meanwhile, Ramamoorthy Rajagopal, chief administrative officer, has taken over as chief operating officer. Aditi Kothari Desai continues to head sales, marketing and e-business, the statement added.
