The Finance Ministry on Wednesday, a day before Budget 2018, took to twitter to announce that the countdown for the union budget has begun. 

The Budget 2018-19 will be tabled at 11 AM in the morning in the parliament. 

Citizens can watch the LIVE telecast of the Union Budget 2018-19 on Lok Sabha television from 11 am onwards on Thursday. It can also be seen on the YouTube webcast of Rajya Sabha TV.

While every sector is expecting for big announcements in the wake of 2019 polls, experts believe that the Budget 2018 will focus more on the rural economy, generating employment and many sops for the middle-class. 

The Finance Ministry also asked citizens to tweet their queries related to the general budget with hashtag #AskYourFM.

The Union Budget 2018 will be the first budegt after the roll out of the major tax reform, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) bill. This will be Modi's government fifth and final budget for the current term. 

Last year, The Narendra Modi government has ended the colonial era tradition to present the Budget on the last working day of the second month of the year, i.e, February. 

With every sector eyeing on Jaitley's magical briefcase,  experts believe that the budget would be focussed on rural economy. Analysts also expect a tax cut to fulfil wishes of the salaries tax-payer. 

It is also expected that the goverment may announce big schemes to generate employment sector. 

Now, if various media reports are to be believed, FM Arun Jaitley may give emphasis on women’s employment. t has also been reported that the government might even give incentives to the women employers.

Citing sources, a report in Business Standard quoted that the government may announce reduced rates of deductions from women’s salaries for various schemes managed by the Employee Provident Fund Organisation.
