Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday said that the Budget would fulfil aspirations of all sections of society.

Reacting to the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Fadnavis said that the resolve for building new India is underlined with this budget. Fadnavis said that all sections of society would benefit from the budget.

Fadnavis added that with decision on minimum support price for farm produce, the demand of almost two decades is fulfilled for farmers. “With this announcement, farmers would receive 1.5 times price that of their input cost and entire infrastructure for the agriculture sector would receive boost with this budget,” he added.

Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Jaitley for providing sizeable funds for irrigation projects through Nabarad, Fadnavis said that the infrastructure inputs for agriculture from Union Budget along with horticulture and processing industry would receive a fillip with additional allocation.

Fadnavis said that huge funding of Rs. 40,000 crore for local train services in Mumbai was a relief for the city. He also termed the health cover for 50 crore citizens as biggest feature of this year's budget.  He also said that the budget in general would expand the scope of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas concept and has expressed the resolve to build new India.
