Bank of Baroda Recruitment 2018: 600 vacancies announced, here's how to apply

Bank of Baroda has announced job vaccancies at its official website, www.bankofbaroda.co.in. The job posts have been announced to fill 600 Probationary Officers positions. "A total of 600 students will be inducted in Baroda Manipal School of Banking through the current selection exercise for 2018-19 (April 2018 to March 2019)," the official statement read. 

The process for online application started from June 12. The last date to apply is July 2. According to the information that has been currently available, the tentative date for the exam is July 28. 

Eligibility: 

Only those can apply who have been graduated with minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government.

As per the age limit, "Candidate must have been born not earlier than 03.07.1990 and not later than 02.07.1998", the notification read. 

Selection process: 

Bank of Baroda will select the suitable candidates through a selection process consisting of an (open) online exam followed by Group Discussion and Interview. The online exam will have questions on Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Letter writing and Essay.

Candidates are required to apply Online through the link given in the career page of Bank’s website www.bankofbaroda.com. "No other means or mode of application will be accepted", the bank said. 

Earlier, State Bank of India had announced recruitment of  2,000 probationary officers. The country's largest public lender, SBI invited applications for bank probationary officers. Those who will be selected for the post by the SBI would be posted anywhere across India. 

Meanwhile, amidst probe over alleged fraud involving the Indian-origin Gupta family and former President Jacob Zuma, Bank of Baroda (BoB) had said it will cooperate in all investigations of the South African authorities.

Guptas, who were considered close to former President Zuma, had accounts with BoB, which has got permission to close down its operations in South Africa, Bank of Baroda has cooperated with South African authorities in all investigations of matters relating to the Gupta family, including how the Guptas and their companies used their accounts at various banks in South Africa, the bank said in a statement.
