Arhar and its dal prices rose by up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today due to pick up in demand from retailers against restricted supplies.

However, gram and its dal receded on easing demand at prevailing levels.

Traders said pick up in demand from retailers against restricted arrivals from producing regions, mainly led to the rise in arhar and its dal prices.

In the national capital, arhar and its dal prices moved up by Rs 150 and Rs 200 to Rs 4,450 and Rs 6,400-8,200 per quintal, respectively.

On the other hand, gram shed Rs 50 to Rs 5,650-6,450 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality traded lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,300-6,700 and Rs 6,700-6,800 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal): Urad Rs 4,800-5,800, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 4,900-5,000, Urad best Rs 5,000-5,500, Dhoya Rs 5,400-5,600, Moong Rs 4,800-5,500, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,500-5,700, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,100-6,600 and best quality Rs 6,600-6,800.

Masoor small Rs 3,850-4,050, bold Rs 3,900-4,150, Dal Masoor local Rs 4,150-4,650, best quality Rs 4,250-4,750, Malka local Rs 4,300-4,500, best Rs 4,400-4,600, Moth Rs 3,500-3,900, Arhar Rs 4,450, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 6,400-8,200.

Gram Rs 5,650-6,450, Gram dal (local) Rs 6,300-6,700, best quality Rs 6,700-6,800, Besan (35 kg), Shakti bhog Rs 2,500, Rajdhani Rs 2,500, Rajma Chitra Rs 7,800-10,100, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,800-11,000, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 4,800-5,000, Peas white Rs 2,625-2,650 and green Rs 2,675-2,775.
