On Friday night, Bajaj Electricals MD Anant Bajaj died at the young age of 41. Reports say he died of a sudden cardiac arrest.

Apart from his role in Bajaj Electricals, Anant Bajaj was also a member of the Young Entrepreneur Wing of the Indian Merchants' Chamber and reportedly a member of the NGO Greenpeace.

As friend Jingnesh Maniar summed it up on Facebook, "Anant Bajaj was a maverick. A great friend, client and a collaborator since 6 years, he always demanded ideas which were different and had a great vision for BEL. Less than a month back I was with him for 4 days in London, where he had invited me to watch the Wimbledon final. He was a man who had deep knowledge about everything and loved trivia. On the flight back for 2 hours we were just singing old Hindi songs. While he would make me hear the latest music from all over the world. He had such exciting plans for BEL which he would elaborate passionately. The world has lost a visionary and I have lost a friend. My heart goes out to his wife and his 3 year old son, whose antics he would often narrate, and his parents. RIP Anant. In a world where genuine people are rare, you will be truly missed."
