Amazon Prime Day sale: Smartphones to be available at half prices, other deals you need to know

Amazon is all set for its grand Prime Day sale 2018. The Prime Day sale will go live in 17 nations simultaneously. This is the second edition of Prime Day sale in India. The sale will start on July 16 noon and will be contined till July 17 midnight. Last time Amazon's Prime Day sale in India was for 30 hours, this time it will be 36-hour long. Prime Day sale this year will feature 200 exclusive products, last year around 35 products were introduced. Keeping Prime Day sale in mind, Amazon has also introduced prime membership for Rs 129 for a month.

Amazon Prime day will offer lucrative discounts on Amazon Echo family of devices, Fire TV Stick and all new Kindle devices. Besides other deals, Amazon will announce lucrative deals on smartphones, buyers are expecting a discount of around 50 per cent on popular smartphones. 

The Redmi Y2 sale will start at 1 pm tomorrow, Prime members can also participate in a quiz to stand a chance to win OnePlus 6. Other deals include cost-effective exchange offers on Samsung Galaxy Note8, Moto G6 and up to Rs 3000 off on Honor 7X. 

Apart from that, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be available at an effective price of Rs 41,990 during Amazon Prime Day 2018 sale. At present, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is available at a price of Rs 55,900 in India. Customers can avail an additional Rs 10,000 discount on the exchange. HDFC customers can avail Rs 4,000 cashback and no cost EMI up to 9 months. 

But if you are looking to buy other options available in the smartphone section, then you should know that Amazon-exclusive smartphones such as the OnePlus 6, Moto G6, Redmi 5, RealMe 1 are now available for purchase on Prime Now app ahead of the Prime Day celebrations

Notably, products avaialble on the Prime Now app qualify for a fast delivery time of 2 hours for Prime members between 6 AM to Midnight. This offer is in addition to the recently launched Amazon devices selection of Fire TV sticks, Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite (WiFI), Echo Dot and Echo on Prime Now.

Amazon Prime Day is expected to provide up to 40 per cent discounts on mobiles and accessories with to 50 per cent off on electronic goods and up to 70 per cent discount for home and outdoor items. There will be an additional discount of 10 per cent for those paying with HDFC Bank cards. As part of providing a new experience, Amazon India will be launching Virtual Reality outlets across 11 malls in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Kolkata.

1. First of all, you need to subscribe to Amazon prime, the much-talked about Prime Day sale is exclusively for Amazon Prime mebers. Amazon also has launched Prime subscription at Rs 129 monthly lately, in case you don't want to buy Rs 999 yearly subscription. After getting the Prime membership, you will be able to access to videos, music and more.

2. After getting the subscription, you should download the Amazon app on your smartphone to keep a track on the best and exclusive offers. That way, you will stay connected. 

3. But if you don't want to download the app, you can also keep a track of deal notifications by downloading Amazon Assistant. 

4. Keep a list of items you need to buy by checking out the deals before the sale goes live. You will have the option to “Watch” deals that you like before they go live. Once you click on “Watch” you get notified when the deals will go live.

5. You can also get the prime app for 2-hour delivery. The app will help getting your items purchased under the prime category to be delivered within two hours.
