Airtel launches Rs 299 plan with unlimited calls to beat Reliance Jio, Vodafone

Under Airtel's Rs 299 plan, customers will get the benefit of unlimited calls. The Rs 299 plan is valid for 45 days. Besides the unlimited calling, users will also get 100 free SMS on everyday basis.
However, the only drawback this plan has that customers won't get the free 4G data. But if you are looking for free data packs in Airtel, them you might want to consider Airtel's Rs 249 and Rs 349 plan respectively. Both the pplans has unlimited calling and free 4G data benefit. But it is to be noted that the validity of these plans will be for 28 days.
Meanwhile, according to multiple reports, Airtel has reintroduced its Rs 649 postpaid plan with massive increase in quantity of data available for consumers. At Rs 649 price point, which is under Airtel's 'Best Selling Postpaid Plans' the company is offering 90 GB data, with rollover options, unlimited voice calls among other lucrative features. Earlier in the month of April, Airtel had introduced this offer briefly before discontinuing it.
Airtel has other offers for Rs 399, Rs. 499, Rs. 799, and Rs. 1,199 for their post-paid customers. However, only for Rs 649, it has increased its data pack from 50 GB to 90 GB. Customers will also able to send 100 SMS messages per day. They will also have the option to add a child's postpaid account to the primary account and avail the same benefits. Earlier, for an additional connection, Rs 99 had to be given extra but now it will be available for free. Users can also get free access to Amazon Prime Videos for a year, alongside Wynk TV subscription and all Live TV and movies in the Airtel library.
Idea cellular also launched a new Rs 227 plan for its prepaid customers. In the new Rs 227 plan, Idea will provide free unlimited callertune subscription, missed call alerts and much more. It is to be noted that many of the benefits of Rs 227 Idea plan is already there in Airtel's Rs 219 prepaid data plan.
