It has finally happened! After weeks of drama, protests and destruction of public property, Rajput Karni Sena has withdrawn protests against Sanjay Leela Bhansali 'Padmaavat'.
The fringe group has finally understood what the filmmaker was trying to say about his Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer.. The fringe group has accepted that the film glorifies Rajput valour. and is not a distortion of their history. As per IANS report, Rajput Karni Sena’s Mumbai leader Yogendra Singh Katar said that a few members of the outfit watched the movie on the directions of the organisation’s national president Sukhdev Singh Gogamadi on Friday. He said they found that the movie glorifies the valour and sacrifice of Rajputs, and that “every Rajput would feel proud” after watching it. On Friday, Katar also said there were no “objectionable scenes” between Rani Padmini and Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khilji in the film. In a letter, he said the Karni Sena would help the administrations in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh to release the film.
Twitter is amused and shocked at Karni Sena's sudden U-turn. From protesting against release of the film and vandalising theatre and finally ending up saying what Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been trying to say from the begining. From Anurag Kashyap to Raghu Ram of Rodies fame, everyone is appalled by their sudden change of heart. While Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone fans are relieved and waiting for watch the film in theatres.

#KarniSena was “defending” their legacy by slapping people who refused to talk to them. Without having seen a single frame of the movie. And that same Karni Sena is now FOR the movie!

I'm so happy the Karni Sena decided to withdraw their protests. Maybe we can look at them for future certification of films, law and order, traffic control, and other issues. You know...since they seem to be calling the shots.

WTF?!! How do you go from “distorts history” to “glorifies Rajputs so it’s ok”? And “withdrawing protest” is nowhere near enough, losers! Withdraw your stupid fatwas on artists, apologies unconditionally for bringing disrepute to Rajputs and surrender to cops #PadmaavatRow https://t.co/em1rtmM0YU
