Will Ranbir Kapoor reunite with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Deepika Padukone for 'Baiju Bawra'?

Last year, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had announced his forthcoming directorial, Baiju Bawra. The film is the remake of 1952 film which had Bharat Bhushan in the titular role opposite Meena Kumari. The star cast of SLB hasn't been announced yet and from Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan to Ranveer Singh, everyone's names have been popped up for the leading role. Bhansali will kickstart directorial after completion of Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Now as per reports in Bollywood Hungama, SLB has approached Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone to play leading roles in Baiju Bawra. Talking about it, a source told the entertainment portal, "Ranbir and Deepika make a pair to reckon with on-screen and Bhansali wants to create magic on-screen with the two actors. Talks are on, however, neither of the two have signed the dotted lines yet."

Further sharing about not approaching his favourite Ranveer opposite Deepika, the source went on to say, "He will work with Ranveer again in the future, but he doesn’t want to repeat the pairing of the real-life couple for the fourth consecutive time."

The source also shared about Ranbir and Deepika's reunion stating, "These are all early talks, which started before the lockdown, but with the entire calendar of actors going for a toss, it would be interesting to see how things shape up. Though Ranbir and Deepika will make for a formidable pair in a Bhansali film."

If the reports turn out to be true, Ranbir will be reuniting with SLB after his debut film, Saawariya.
