The trial in Jodhpur court on Thursday acquitted Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre in the 1998 black buck poaching case, but convicted Salman Khan in the same, pronouncing a 5-year jail term to the Dabangg actor. While the entire country was awaiting the verdict, as soon as it was out, those from the industry were quick to put out their opinion on the matter on social media. Singer Sona Mohapatra too took to her Twitter account to express her opinion on the verdict, taking a dig at Salman and the previous incident when his father Salim Khan had apologised on his behalf for his 'raped woman' remark in an interview during the promotions of Sultan.

While others from the industry seem to hope for Salman's release, Sona took to her Twitter account and wrote, "So, what new inane defence will Madhu Kishwar sprout now? Nafisa Ali? RJ Rishi Kannan? Will daddy say sorry on his behalf? What will the suck ups in the industry do? When’s bail? When’s the next block buster release? Dabangg’concert’ tour dates? Big Boss? Charity drives?"

Those who're uninitiated, during the promotional interviews of his film Sultan, Salman had remarked that he underwent such intense training practise sessions with real wrestlers that he felts like a 'raped woman' by the end of the day's shoot. The remark  led to a lot of controversy, post which his father Salim Khan had tweeted out an apology on his behalf.

Back then, Sona had called out Salman for his remark and his father apologising on his behalf. The singer reportedly started receiving rape threats post her comment. Now that Salman has been convicted in the black buck poaching case, the singer has once again taken a dig at the previous incident of his father, apologising on his behalf and asked if he would do that again this time.
