Why Sushant Singh Rajput-Sara Ali Khan's 'Kedarnath' trailer has become the talk of the town

The trailer of Kedarnath has received a unanimous thumbs up from the audiences as well as industry folks. The junta got a peek of the ambitious project last week when it was launched by the film’s director Abhishek Kapoor, in the presence of its lead actors, Sushant Singh Rajput, debutante Sara Ali Khan and producers Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor. 

The trailer beautifully depicts the love story set against the backdrop of Uttarakhand floods in 2013. Kedarnath has created a lot of buzz ever since its announcement. The film is also the launchpad for one of Bollywood’s most-looked-forward-to debutantes — Sara.   

ADDING INTRIGUE

The glimpses of the film in the trailer showcase the picturesque locations and the Kedarnath temple. At the crux of the love story is the heart-wrenching tragedy of the Uttarakhand floods, which adds to the intrigue.

BACK TO ROMANCE

Sushant plays a pithoo (a porter), who piggybacks tourists to the top of the mountain where the temple is located, while Sara plays a cheerful small-town girl. Kedarnath’s trailer not only has the industry rooting for this love story, but the audience, too, is excited to watch Sushant and Sara’s tragic romance unfold on the big screen. A testimony to this is the fact that the movie’s trailer has crossed more than 15 million views.

Kedarnath is backed by producers Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP and Pragya Kapoor of Guy In The Sky Pictures. The film will release on December 7, 2018.
