This Shoojit Sircar movie has Gen-Now sweetheart Varun Dhawan in an unusual avatar
The curiosity around Shoojit Sircar’s October, starring Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu, has made it among the most-anticipated releases this summer.

1. A UNIQUE LOVE STORY BY SHOOJIT
Shoojit is one of the few exceptionally- talented filmmakers of Indian cinema, who has time and again given us some of the best cinematic experiences through his films. The director’s movies are based on reality and human emotions. This time around, he has made a unique love story. The plot, which revolves around the lives of Dan (Varun) and Shiuli (Banita), highlights the purest form of love that hasn’t been seen on screen in a long time.
2. VARUN LIKE NEVER BEFORE
Varun has always charmed the audience. Not only have his films done well at the box office, but the actor has also garnered praise for his acting prowess. However, with October, he is believed to have surpassed all his previous performances. Varun will be seen playing a 21-year-old hotel management student, who is lost in his own world, but still is mischievous.
3. BANITA’S DEBUT
Originally from Wales, Banita makes her Bollywood debut with October. She was spotted by Shoojit during an ad shoot that they worked on. Like Varun, she, too, plays a hotel management student in the film. Shoojit recently said that Banita has worked harder than anyone else on this movie. It will be interesting to see the result of all the efforts she has put in.
4. FRESH MUSIC
Even though the filmmaker is renowned for his offbeat subjects, he’s also known for adding nuances to the soundtrack to make the screenplay even more captivating.
October introduces the real meaning of love and also boasts of beautiful music to make this journey mesmerising. Shantanu Moitra, Abhishek Arora and Anupam Roy have put together an interesting album. Perhaps, for the first time, a film has introduced their theme song before the release, that has added to the eagerness to watch October in cinemas.
