Why does Akshay Kumar leave the country before his film's release?

Akshay Kumar took off to Europe last month for a family holiday.

The actor, who was in France, will now head to London where he begins shooting for his film Gold. The family, in the meanwhile, will stay with him, while he goes to work everyday, and they will all return to Mumbai together in July end.

Akshay is not promoting his next film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, since he is away. And he won’t even be in the country when it releases.

In the past, the actor used to deliberately leave the country at the time of his film’s release as he felt his films worked better when he was travelling. However, that changed a few years ago. This time, it is merely a coincidence.
