Every bad movie of 2017 sounds awesome
Updated : Sep 06, 2017, 09:37 AM IST
Before the release date, the makers of most of the movies hold special screenings for their close friends and associates in the industry. When these close friends come out after watching the film, they often rave about the movie to the media. Remember how Aamir Khan came out of the Bajrangi Bhaijaan screening and wiped his tears in front of the cameramen present? Now, with every Bollywood celeb having a strong media presence, they get on Twitter to share their ‘feelings’ about the movie. But how much can you trust the reviews of celebs?
Many such reviews are harmless if the movie doesn’t turn out to be half-bad. However, what about the times when the movie turns out to be a disaster, but quite a few celebs like Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, etc, wax eloquent about it on social media? While everyone has a right to opinion, when you dole out empty praises every time, people catch it. In this special feature, we look at six movies of 2017 that disappointed many when they released. However, some celebs made them sound like masterpieces. Read on...
From the maker of Mohenjo Daro, came a mind-blowing tweet review!

Unfortunately, the audience didn’t share Preity Zinta’s enthusiasm for making Tubelight a ‘blockbuster’!
Congrats @BeingSalmanKhan & @kabirkhankk for yet another blockbuster Absolutely LOVEDthe time, innocence & world of #TubelightTing pic.twitter.com/L22eXkIyM5

We think the makers showed a different movie to Karan Johar, because the movie had nothing in it worth those big praises!
#AGentlemanSundarSusheelRisky is a full on entertaining ride with kick ass action and many laughs! A non stop adrenaline rush!!!

Alia Bhatt’s love for Begum Jaan would have really made you want to watch it. That it is a production from her home banner is just a matter of coincidence!
#BegumJaan releases today! Such a moving film with such powerful performances! @vidya_balan is fantastic!! A big dose of COURAGE! Go watch

If you read Varun Dhawan’s tweet carefully, you realise that he hasn’t watched the movie. As for Ayushmann Khurrana, his tweet looked like an adorable gesture for his Bareilly Ki Barfi heroine, Kriti Sanon.
#Raabta should be only seen in the theatre make it your weekend watch. Best of luck to the entire team #dinoo. Hearing great stuff

#Raabta is pure unadulterated love. @itsSSR is such a superstar material with immense range. @kritisanon is fab and an adorable revelation

We are still trying to figure out whether Shah Rukh Khan is actually trying to praise the movie, or hiding his real feelings behind philosophical waxings! As for Alia, maybe she adores Anushka Sharma a lot.
Phillauri the attempt at doing wot u believe in. @AnushkaSharma @diljitdosanjh #anshai #karnesh keep believing in the impossible.
— Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) March 22, 2017
#Phillauri is such a lovely unique film!!!With such honest performances from the whole cast!!!! @AnushkaSharma you are such an inspiration
