When Akshay Kumar hid Mouni Roy's sandals on the sets of Gold

Akshay Kumar, who is known to be a prankster, had a fun time goofing around with his co-stars on the sets of Excel Entertainment's upcoming film 'Gold'. During the shoot of 'Chad Gayi Hai', Akshay pulled a rather naughty prank which had almost the entire crew on their toes, literally. 

The writer and director of the sports-drama, Reema Kagti, revealed how Akshay hid majority of the crew's shoes inside the duct of one of the studio air-conditioners during the shoot of the song. The entire cast and crew of the film, including Mouni Roy, had to walk barefoot on the entire set for quite some time before he finally revealed the place he had hidden their shoes at.

Speaking about the energy on the set of 'Chad Gayi Hai', which was shot in Mumbai’s Kamalistan studio, choreographers Bosco–Caesar said, “Working with Akshay means being on your toes as he brings a lot of energy on set. His onscreen wife, Mouni, has an infectious vibe even if she is not doing much. Watching Akshay dance atop a table in this song will be a treat for the audience. The song is catchy, and its funny hook step is sure to grab eyeballs. We created a mood around the situation"

'Chad GayiHai' is sung by Vishal Dadlani and composed by Sachin-Jigar. Apart from Akshay and Mouni, 'Gold' also features Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh, Sunny Kaushal and Nikita Dutta in pivotal roles.  

The period film is helmed by Reema Kagti and has been shot across the UK and India. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner name Excel Entertainment, 'Gold' will hit the screens on 15th August 2018.
